We've been bringing our 3 dogs to see Dr. Sran and the team for the past year for both regular health check ups/vaccines and urgent care. In the past few months, visits have been extra frequent for our senior boxer, who needed more critical care and diagnostics! Gratefully, she is now stable and back to her old silly self and we are so appreciative to everyone at TLAH for taking such good care of her (ps - she is very sorry for barking when in the kennels). What matters most is that Dr.Sran and his team CARE deeply and want to see our pets healthy and happy. It made my heart just swell when we had our boxer in for follow up tests recently and Dr. Sran remarked how "she was a different dog" now that she is well. You could just see how joyful he was about her health :) I am always saying that we have a family of 5 - my spouse and our 3 dogs. We love taking them on all sorts of trips and they have been with us through some of the most important days of our lives. Being so important to us (and most pet guardians), I always think of how intense a pressure that is for Veterinarians/Techs. We expect them to know and do everything perfectly - which is just impossible! Of course like many caring professions they have a high standard of responsibility, but we also must remember they are humans too and often dealing with us as clients when we aren't being our best or kindest selves. If something isn't quite right, its important to not put all the weight on them - we need to be able to advocate for our pets too or ask more questions etc. Dr. Sran and the team are very open to questions and explanations - walking you through diagnostics, scenarios, outcomes and recommendations. They are super clear with quotes with no hidden surprises. During the more 'scary' appointments when we didn't know what the future held for our sick boxer, Dr. Sran's bedside manner was so calming - truthful, realistic and also hopeful - walking us through next steps and helping us prepare our minds in case the news was not good. The team is great with scheduling, helping with food orders, calling for follow ups and urgent/emergent needs. The clinic is always clean and they have great in house diagnostics and access to specialized testing when needed. Sometimes we've have some kinks in understanding or communication (more related to admin or paperwork), but that happens! They are relatively "new" clinic (this isn't a negative thing) and so certain things like that are just stuff that is worked out with time and figuring out what works for them as a team. I am so glad to be clients of TLAH. Our dogs are now getting rather old - 7, 9 and 14. We have no idea what the future holds for them, but we know that they will always been well taken care of at Trout Lake. Thank you x a million!
