Health Certificates for International Travel
Trout Lake Animal Hospital and Urgent Care is proud to assist with health certificates for pets traveling internationally.
If you plan to travel outside of Canada with your pet, it’s important to plan ahead. Each country has different entry requirements, which may include specific vaccinations, blood tests, microchipping, or parasite treatments. You will need to contact the embassy or consulate of your destination to confirm exactly what documentation is required.
Our veterinarians can perform a physical examination, review your pet’s records, and complete the health certificate forms required for travel. Depending on your destination, additional tests or treatments may be needed to ensure your pet is ready to go.
Because regulations vary and can change frequently, we recommend checking with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and the embassy of the country you’re visiting before your appointment. We’ll work with you to make sure your pet meets the requirements for safe and smooth travel.
If you have any questions about health certificates or traveling internationally with your pet, please contact us today at (604) 559-1800.
